Hello, I'm Cat! I was born in Vancouver, Washington and currently reside in Dallas, TX. My pursuit of a career in design was fueled by my early love of the intersection of art and technology. I am intrigued by how the connection of these two branches can positively impact people on both an individual and global scale. Analyzing graphic/web designs, indulging in Adobe Creative Suite, and evaluating video game designs ignited my passion to even greater heights.
My degree in Graphic Design, Theater, and English from the University of North Texas and my UX Design certificate from CareerFoundry allowed me to pursue my passion for design, technology, and the arts. I participated in solo and collaborative projects, learned design principles, and researched the connection of design, technology, and entertainment within global social constructions.
After graduation, my background in freelance graphic design and voice acting helped me apply my learned design strategies to real-world practice, such as collaborating with clients/directors, branding, and empathizing with a target audience. Driven to look deeper into the design field, I ultimately discovered its potential to bring about positive human-centric experiences in our everyday world.
Armed with a multidisciplinary skillset gained from my pre and post-graduate studies, I aim to craft creative, innovative, and accessible experiences to transform viable ideas into valuable solutions.
In addition to my love for design, I enjoy playing video games, taking nature walks, biking, and traveling in my spare time.
